Wisconsin State Fair Park - Master Planner, Consultant, 2001-2003
The State of Wisconsin initiated planning and construction of a $180 million re-development of the 200 acre Milwaukee site used for the annual State Fair. Major new buildings will permit year-round operation, more events and an enlarged role for the total facility. Mr. Blagbornes contract involved development of an improved Master Plan including implimentation strategies. The first phase, a 200,000 square foot Exposition Hall, opened in July, 2002. New grandstands for the Milwaukee Mile race track, a large two storey livestock barn plus improvements to site infrastructure were completed for the 2003 fair. Development planning and design of subsequent phases are underway.
